RightClick OCR extracts text from a webpage image or screen region only after the user explicitly requests recognition. Image processing and text recognition run entirely on the user's device.

Data handled

The extension temporarily handles the image or webpage region selected by the user and the recognized text produced from it. This content may include website content chosen by the user and is used only to provide the requested OCR result.

The extension stores one usage record in browser local extension storage: the current local calendar date and the number of recognition requests used that day. This record enforces the daily preview limit and is not linked to an account or persistent user identifier.

Data transmission and sharing

RightClick OCR does not transmit screenshots, images, recognized text, visited URLs, browsing history, or usage records to the developer or any third party. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, cloud OCR, or payment services. No developer or third party can view content processed locally.

Retention and deletion

Selected images and recognized text are discarded when the result panel is closed, the webpage is closed, or the page is navigated away. The local usage record is replaced when the local date changes. Users may also delete it by clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension.

Permissions

activeTab: temporary access after a user action.
contextMenus: the OCR command for webpage images.
scripting: the region selector and temporary result panel.
storage: only the local daily usage record.

Limited use

RightClick OCR's use of information received from browser APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data access is limited to the user-facing, on-device OCR feature described in the store listing.

Contact and changes

Privacy questions may be sent through the publisher contact displayed in the browser extension store. Policy changes will be published at this URL with a revised date, and material data-practice changes will be disclosed before taking effect.

处理的数据

传输与共享

扩展不会把截图、图片、识别文字、访问网址、浏览历史或使用记录传输给开发者或第三方。当前版本不包含统计分析、广告、追踪、账号、云端 OCR 或支付服务。

保留与删除

关闭结果面板、关闭网页或离开当前页面后，临时内容即被丢弃。本地使用记录会在日期变化后被替换，也可通过清除扩展数据或卸载扩展删除。

有限使用

RightClick OCR 对浏览器 API 所提供信息的使用遵守 Chrome Web Store 用户数据政策，包括 Limited Use 要求。数据访问仅用于商店页面明确说明的本地 OCR 功能。
